Day 29

I've got 2 shots today. I made these Weight Watchers brownies.... these were some of the ingredients. They turned out pretty good.

This shot could have been a cool shot, but it's blurry.

Day 28

It really snowed hard. Very wet, heavy snow.

Day 27

My son had a fever today, and stayed home from school. I asked him what he wanted for lunch, and he said he wanted wedding soup. The closest thing I had was Progresso chicken and barley soup. I gave it to him. After a few bites he said, "Mom, this soup is making my throat itchy." I ran over and read the can... there were peas in it. He's allergic to peas. He's also allergic to peanuts, which is a legume like a pea.

He stopped eating the soup, but, his top lip swelled up. He's fine now, I gave him Benydrl.

Who puts peas in chicken soup?

Day 26

My son has a cold. I had to get the cough drops.

Day 25

Today I met a message board friend "in real life"! We had fun shopping at the scrapbook store.

Day 24

It's a tie... I couldn't decide. I thought these Sumac berries... well, they're fuzz now, looked cool:
Jan 24

And, these branches that have frozen droplets on them looked pretty cool, too:

Day 22

Decided to embellish my dogs collar with one of the product samples from the catalog.

Day 21

What I did all day..... catalog work. It was fun tho.

Day 20

Today we had this gorgeous cardinal on our bird feeder. I took the photo thru the window... looks like I might need to clean my windows! Well, they're not too bad.

I love how you can see the crumbs falling out of his mouth.

Day 19

We spent most of day 19 with Grandma Barbara. We ate lunch at Red Lobster (her pick) then back to their house for cake. She's really pulling for those Pittsburgh Steelers... notice the black and gold cake?

Sunday, January 18, 2009

Day 18

Lunch - for the kids... I had Lean Cuisine.

Day 17

Here's Louie, all ready for today's football game. Took the photo yesterday, but, too tired to upload.

Day 16

My dog is super old... he's 14 and a half.... I don't know how old that is in pug years, but, he's completely deaf, and can't see very well. He has wandered away twice already. Once in September - on my birthday, he got lost... we found him down on the horse farm. The last time was last week... I got a call from a lady asking me if I had a dog named Louie. Gotta keep an eye on him... if dogs get Alzheimer's I'm pretty sure he has it.

Here's little old Louie... he has taken to sleeping with his little pink tongue hanging out.

Day 15

Brrr, it is freezing here. I was trying to capture the sparkle coming off of the snow. It looked better in person. Maybe a tripod and a longer exposure would have given me more sparkle.

Day 14

This morning the sky was so blue, and perfect, I looked up and saw the moon.

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

Day 13

Groceries... yep, and not a single one in focus... you see, they were on the counter, and I was too short to see inside the bags, and too lazy to drag a chair over, so I just stood on my tip toes.

Monday, January 12, 2009

Day 12

Going for a walk.

Sunday, January 11, 2009

Day 11

Well, I didn't try super hard today... just a quick shot of my DS with our big dog. Seeing that I waited until ... oh a few minutes ago... it was pretty dark and using the flash was unavoidable.

Day 10

I have a thing for shoes and boots. Love boots. Love pointy toes. I took the photo, then I dropped out the background, put it on a gray background, then did a oval vignette layer over the gray, then dropped the boots on top.

Day 9

I thought this was an awesome pattern, so I took a few shots... the snow was so fluffy, and I liked my sons tracks in the snow.

Thursday, January 8, 2009

Day 8

Yesterday it rains, today it snows... tomorrow will probably be 70! LOL! I wish, it’s going to be 27°. BRRR.

This little guy didn’t seem to mind the cold. We’ve been feeding him and fattening him up to make it through the cold winter. Isn’t he cute? I think he’s the mister that lives in the house that Emma built.

Day 7

Today's photo is brought to you by the letter “G” for gloomy, glum and gross... that is what today's weather is like.

Tried to get rain drops on this one... I really should read the manual.

Tuesday, January 6, 2009

Day 6

Is brought to you by the letter “F” for fruit.

Gotta love photoshop!! A little curve action, some saturation, a bit of contrast, and a smattering of unsharp mask — wala — a semi decent photo!

Day 5

Well, here it is, day 5. Only 360 more to go! I'm trying to challenge myself and take interesting pictures, you know, so here's what caught my eye today. My husbands dusty beer bottle collection. Now, mind you, it ain't Budweiser... nope, he drinks the good stuff.

Here I was trying to get the first bottle in focus, and the rest not... mission accomplished. One minor thing I did wrong... OK, major... there is a lot of noise in this photo, and it's because I had the ISO turned WAY up. Oops. Oh well, that's what it's all about, learning the camera.

Maybe tomorrow there will be sunshine and I can venture outside.

Sunday, January 4, 2009

I have decided to jump on the bandwagon and do the Project 365... a photo a day. Every day I'll post a photo that I've taken. I just got a new Nikon SLR and thought that this would be a great way to learn more about my camera.

It's day 4, but luckily, I have taken a photo (more like photos) a day.

January 1

This is one of my friends baby twins foot... I don't know which one it was... they look exactly the same!

January 2

My late night decaf caramel macchiato, made by me, it was GOOD!

January 3

Homemade pizza with turkey pepperoni. It was really good!

January 4

I'm going to try to post a photo a day... if not, I might post 3 in one day, but I will take a photo a day.
